Bevel Tube Laser Cutter: Training for Technicians of an Ethiopian Client
From December 22 to 29, 2024, SENFENG’s experienced after-sales engineer, Zhong Tongjian, traveled to Ethiopia to provide on-site services for one of the company’s VIP clients. The customer, who had previously purchased a 1.5kW handheld laser welding machine and an SF3015N fiber laser cutter, was now adding a new SF6024GT bevel tube laser cutter to their operations.
Zhong’s mission was to ensure that the new laser pipe cutter was up and running smoothly. After the installation was completed, Zhong conducted detailed equipment debugging to ensure stable operation, including delay measurement, beam length testing, and verticality marking tests. He also pre-set cutting parameters for frequently processed materials like 1.5mm, 2mm, and 3mm square tubes and L-shaped profiles, ensuring that the customer could access these settings from the machine’s database without needing to manually reset them for future cuts.

Beyond the technical setup, Zhong also provided an in-depth, hands-on training program for the customer’s technicians. The training covered the basics of the bevel tube laser cutting machine, including cutting special materials like L-shaped steel and H-beams, as well as using the CNC control system TubesT, changing protective lenses, and performing regular maintenance. By combining theory with practice, technicians learned directly on the machine, with Zhong’s guidance ensuring they could quickly master the equipment.
Once the training was complete, the bevel pipe cutting machine was ready for production. Zhong closely monitored the machine’s performance during its initial runs, ensuring precise and stable operation. He also expanded the machine’s cutting parameters database, fine-tuning settings for 6.7mm and 7.4mm air-cutting and 45-degree beveling to ensure the machine met all of the customer’s needs.

The customer was extremely satisfied with the service provided by Zhong, particularly his expertise in parameter adjustments and the efficiency of the training program. This experience has further strengthened their confidence in SENFENG’s equipment and support, setting the stage for a continued partnership.
