20kW Fiber Laser Machine: Repair Service for an Egyptian Customer
In December 2024, SENFENG’s engineer, Li Zhengda, traveled to Egypt to assist a local distributor in providing on-site maintenance and technical support for customers. Li brought technical resources from SENFENG headquarters, giving the distributor the opportunity to gain more experience in equipment maintenance and repair. This will help improve customer satisfaction locally and strengthen the long-term partnership between SENFENG and the distributor.
From December 21 to December 25, Li and the distributor visited a VIP customer’s factory to carry out equipment repairs. This customer had purchased a 20kW SF6025H fiber laser cutting machine in May 2023. The 20kW fiber laser, with a working table size of approximately 6m x 2.5m, was having issues cutting 16mm carbon steel. The customer noticed that the cutting quality was subpar and that the laser source’s control system values were fluctuating.
Li quickly contacted the laser source supplier to troubleshoot the problem. After thorough checks, all the modules appeared to be functioning normally. The next step was to inspect the laser head’s optical components. Upon investigation, Li found that the upper protective lens of the cutting head had burn marks, and the focusing protective lens was damaged. The next day, Li assisted the customer in replacing these lenses.
Once the new lenses were installed, Li adjusted the cutting parameters. After several tweaks, the machine was able to cut 16mm carbon steel with excellent results. The customer was extremely grateful for the technical support from both the distributor and Li. They particularly appreciated Li’s expertise, which helped them get the machine back up and running quickly, minimizing downtime and ensuring they could return to production without delay.
